Local Mum chosen as General Election Candidate
Greens choose Leila Kiersch to represent them in May
Ceredigion Green Party has officially selected Leila Kiersch to be their candidate in the next General Election.
Leila, an ongoing welsh learner, said "I fell in love with Ceredigion when I first saw it and that has never left me. It is a real privilege to be chosen to represent a party that has principles for life and not just the next election.
The other parties in Ceredigion are very aware of the strong green voice here and rightly so. They know that if they don't hold up to their snap election promises on the environment they will quickly loose trust and loose votes. They need to demonstrate their commitment at every level of government and need to hold to account Councillors and Assembly members who turn their back on public concerns when they get some power"
She continued 'a vote for the Greens really does make a difference as it sends a clear message - that he public wants politicians prepared to safeguard our land, our children, our future."
Leila has lived in Ceredigion for over a decade and had chosen to stay and raise her young family here. She has a degree from Aberystwyth University and is currently helping out at an after school club as well as running her own company.
